Prabhas sends a gift pack of DVDs to Nitya

There was a big ruckus in the media when Nitya Menon feigned ignorance about Young Rebel Star Prabhas. She might not be knowing him because she is new to Tollywood and did not many Telugu movies and has very less knowledge about the heroes of the Telugu film industry.

However, on coming to know about her ignorance, Prabhas sent her a gift pack of DVDs of films in which he played the hero and showed his reaction politely to make her know about him.

She hardly watched the Telugu films and we have to wait for Nitya Menon�s reaction to the gift sent by Prabhas.

Rebel Shooting at Hyderabad from 27th June

Prabhas wins Lux Cinemaa Critics Choice Best Actor Award

Prabhas won the critics choice Best Actor Award at the Lux Cinemaa Awards 2011 for his performance in the movie 'Darling'. The awards function was conducted by MAA TV at Hotel Novotel on the evening of 19/6/2011. Prabhas always avoids these kind of functions and expectedly did not attend this one too. The award was received by Mr.Krishnam Raju on his behalf. Though Darling deserved an award long back for his performances in Chatrapathi & Bujjigadu, atleast now, someone recognised his talent, and Prabhas is sure to win another award next year for Mr.Perfect.

Details of Rebel film progress

After super hit films like ‘Darling’ and ‘Mr Perfect’, Prabhas has joined hands with Lawrence for his next venture titled ‘Rebel’. J Bhagavan and J Pulla Rao are jointly producing this flick under Sri Balaji Cine Media banner. Right now the shooting is progressing at a brisk pace. A few comedy scenes involving Prabhas and Brahmanandam are being canned which will be followed by a song picturisation on Prabhas and Anushka. Fight Masters Ram-Lakshman have choreographed the action sequences involving Prabhas, Mumbai Wilson, Aakash, Vishal Kaushik and few other fighters which is said to be on par with Hollywood standards.

According to producers the shooting was held in Hyderabad, Bangkok and Vizag without any break. The entire shooting part with be completed by October and the film will be released in December. They claimed that ‘Rebel’ would be ‘The Best’ film in Prabhas’s career. The subject is as powerful as the title.

In the words of Prabhas, “My looks in ‘Rebel’ are quite different from that of ‘Mr Perfect’. The movie will be stylish with mass elements. Lawrence’s direction is extra-ordinary. The movie is giving me a good kick while shooting the film itself. ‘Rebel’ will certainly reach the expectations of the audience and my fans as well.”

‘Mr Perfect’ starring Prabhas and Kajal has successfully completed 50 days in 130 centres. Directed by Dasarath, the film was jointly produced by Dil Raju, Sirish and Lakshman under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
